Another Voice: New bottle bill will burden working families who are already struggling

Families across New York are struggling to make ends meet. I hear it from my congregants every day. The high cost of living in the state is pricing families out of neighborhoods they have called home for years. Increasing prices at the grocery store and shrinkflation are stretching family budgets. All of this often feels like too much.
One thing is certain: New York’s families, who are the heart and soul of our communities and who drive our state economy forward, cannot afford additional burdens right now. Read more.
